Saw something on Coindesk about this... Google claims quantum computers could crack a Bitcoin private key in just 9 minutes. Not sure if it's legit though. Anyone got more info?

Classic FUD getting recycled... you might wanna check out older discussions on this. The last part of the article hints that it’s just a theory rather than proof that we’re close to seeing this tech. Besides, 500,000 qubits is still a distant dream.
True, lots of hype lately. Just scrolling through some threads about it... warning signs, estimates, but no actual machines up to the task yet. Google's current gear is nowhere near that level. Just bc they say it’s possible doesn’t mean it’s a reality right now.
