I know a bit about investing in Bitcoin and trading, but I’m curious about mining. What do I need to start mining Bitcoin or any other crypto? Also, what’s the deal with the equipment, like computers and mining gear? Anyone willing to share their mining experiences? Oh, and is mining still profitable these days?

If your electricity is cheap, mining can be profitable. But if your power costs are high, just skip it. Simple as that.
Honestly, before you ask here, check out the Forum. There’s a ton of info already out there. Your question has probably been asked a million times, especially recently.
For sure, first thing is to get good electricity rates or maybe even solar panels for your mining setup. If you have those, go for an ASIC miner. If not, you could look into ASIC hosting services, just make sure they're reliable.
If you're totally new to this, you need to understand what Bitcoin mining really is and how it works. Tons of info is available if you search here. And visuals can help too. Check out some YouTube channels like RedPandaMining for more details. Plus, there are sites like NiceHash that show you which devices are good for mining and if it’s worth your electricity costs.
