Here's a list of coins I've compiled. A lot of these are essential in the crypto space.

BTC details: blocks every 10 mins, capped at 21M coins, uses double-SHA-256, rewards 50 coins per block.

NMC (Namecoin) is merged mined with BTC. But what about its difficulty adjustment?

I like this list, but I'd love more details on what makes each coin different.

Had some brief descriptions earlier but scrapped them. Too much drama with fanboys and haters.

Yeah, I meant something simple, like: LiteCoin: blocks every 2.5 mins, total 82 million coins.
