Honestly, centralized exchanges aren't the best place to keep your Bitcoin. It's smart to switch to a non-custodial wallet like Electrum. You hold the keys, you own the coins. If you can't access your keys, they're not really yours.

This isn't about gambling, tho. Are you sure you're not just leaving your coins on an exchange? Seriously, you should be using a non-custodial wallet.
Kinda realized this thread might not belong in the gambling section. I meant to drop it in the Nigeria board, but hey, here we are. Can we move it to the right spot if that's possible?

You could put it in the beginners or help sections too. But yeah, Nigeria board works since English is cool there. Just try to post in the right place next time, okay?
Move this thread to where it fits, seriously. It doesn't belong here at all. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and use the move button; it's simple.

Are you really saying you bought Bitcoin on Binance and kept it there? A lot of folks say that’s risky. Binance is fine for buying but not for storing. You could lose everything if things go south.
Totally get that leaving your comfort zone is hard. But it's key for growth. There are other exchanges that might be just as easy, even if they feel different at first. And holding Bitcoin? That's definitely a smart move right now.
Your journey with Binance and the government drama is wild. Props for sticking with your coins! Holding now seems wise, especially with prices rising. Just hang tight for the next bull run!
Man, switching to a personal wallet is a must if you've got serious Bitcoin. Exchanges like Binance can freeze accounts or go down. Keeping your coins safe should be priority number one.

Change is part of life, dude. Your government banning Binance doesn’t mean you should give up on crypto. There are other exchanges out there for you to explore.
Dude, that's not a good advantage. Your government could crack down even harder on Bitcoin. Just because they cut off exchanges doesn’t mean you’re in the clear.
Wait, you said they’re in trouble, but also suggested using no KYC services. Governments can’t erase Bitcoin; they can just limit the exchanges. And this isn't about banning crypto overall.

The government isn’t the only enemy here. Those exchanges can claim your coins too if they shut down. I doubt Binance will get banned outright, but they’ll face serious fines.
For sure, best way to hold on to your BTC is a secure wallet. Things can change fast, and you don't wanna be at the mercy of the government or exchange policies.
Good catch, but you've been stacking through Binance. It’s comfy for buying, but pulling it into a wallet is a better play. Transaction fees might vary, but it's worth it.

This should definitely not be in the legal section. It belongs in exchanges. I know the Binance ban sucks, but there are plenty of other exchanges you can use.
Out of curiosity, why haven't you tried P2P or decentralized exchanges? They can be handy for buying and selling. Plus, this is a great chance to learn about wallets beyond the centralized ones.

Storing coins is fine, but I prefer trading and keeping an eye on exchanges. Understanding how fast you can sell is important for smart moves.
