Hey everyone. I'm building a decentralized network for instant Bitcoin payments. No need to convert to fiat for buying stuff. All kinds of businesses and services can join this network, acting as nodes. This is how Bitcoin should work, as a payment method in a decentralized economy.

Interesting concept, but what’s the main goal here? Isn’t it easier for merchants to just accept Bitcoin directly or use something like Lightning Network?

True, and while Bitcoin is moving towards decentralization, many places still ban it. Makes it tough for businesses to sell directly in Bitcoin. I think we still have a long way to go before it’s widely accepted.

How does your setup stack up against layer 2 solutions like Lightning or sidechains? I mean, you mentioned instant transactions, so is everything off-chain?

Good luck with this! Just a heads up, you’ll need a solid budget for marketing. Projects like this need serious cash. If you don’t have it, it might be a dead end unless the product is super viral.

If you’re connecting all these stores as nodes, won’t that create scalability issues? Like, if you have 1000 nodes, how do you keep payments instant? A technical breakdown could help.

Exactly what we need, but have you started building yet? What’s your plan for security? Governments might come after you, and centralized exchanges won’t like this either. Privacy and security should be top priority. Keep us updated on progress.

Not saying it’s a bad idea, but I don’t see a clear, convincing vision here. P2P networks are doing fine as is, and I’m not sure anything can replace that right now.

Will this be available worldwide or just in select regions? And how do you plan to handle Bitcoin’s volatility in transaction fees?

Since you’re not converting Bitcoin to fiat, how will you keep transaction fees reasonable? Many platforms struggle with high fees. Also, how often will your site accept new nodes without your approval?

Bitcoin is accepted in a lot of countries, so I wouldn’t say it’s banned everywhere. Sure, some countries have restrictions, but overall adoption is rising. Just look at the maps online.

Yeah, but many countries don't really utilize BTC properly. It’s just a matter of time before they do, though.

This sounds a lot like Lightning Network, but built from scratch. Your explanation is pretty vague, so it’s hard to understand what your project is about. Honestly, I’m getting scam vibes here.

Is there a white paper for this project?

The real hurdle isn’t creating a decentralized payment system but getting merchants to ditch fiat in favor of BTC. Payment gateways like BitPay are too convenient for them.

The node structure you’re describing sounds like it could create trust without needing a middleman, similar to how Bitcoin’s core network works. But remember, scalability is a different beast from mining.

Lightning Network vs your project. What's the core purpose of each?

I don’t have time to respond to all right now, so here’s a quick comparison of Lightning Network and your project. I’ll catch up with everyone later.

Maybe in developed countries, but in underdeveloped ones, fiat is still king. People are so far behind on crypto. Talking about BTC here gets weird looks.

Don’t worry, it’s not like we’ll be begging businesses to join. We’ll have incentives and some startups will be on board from the start.
