Crypto investors are leaning towards Ethereum as a strong contender against Bitcoin lately. After a rough patch earlier this year, ETH showed some resilience in late August and managed a slight recovery in October, outperforming BTC in that phase.

So you think ETH will outshine BTC for good? It's not just about a couple of weeks' performance, there's a lot more at play here. Don't get too excited; Ethereum might still let folks down like many altcoins do.

You can’t just pick a timeframe that suits your argument to claim ETH is better than BTC. Where's the long-term evidence? Bitcoin has hit its all-time high more than once, while ETH struggles to keep up.

This is more than just charts. BTC has a major halving issue coming up, and it’s gonna affect its market cap. If BTC hits 100k, how many coins will that actually be? It’s something to think about.

You didn’t mention that ETH hasn't even broken its previous all-time high. It's still sitting about 40% below its peak, while Bitcoin is comfortably above its last record.

I've got my eyes on the price range of 2700 to 3100 for buying ETH. Right now, it feels like a good move, but it doesn’t mean ETH is destined to beat BTC. Just saying the timing might be better for ETH.

I really don't see how ETH can be better than BTC. Big players are setting up Bitcoin reserves, which says a lot. Bitcoin has its uniqueness that ETH just can't match, so I'll pass on ETH for now.

People do the same thing with gold vs Bitcoin. They cherry-pick times when one outperformed the other. Comparing ETH's recent performance to others is misleading; over time, it's not even the top-performing altcoin.

Honestly, I’d choose Bitcoin over Ethereum any day. Bitcoin's been making consistent all-time highs while ETH hasn’t. I learned my lesson about chasing ETH before.

Can't blame you. The crypto scene is all about sentiment. It's easy to get swept up in the moment, but history shows that Bitcoin performs better. Both coins are different, and historically, BTC has the edge.

Not convinced that ETF spot volume means anything at all. ETH inflows change so often, and I think you’re just picking the data that fits your narrative. No signs of ETH decoupling from BTC, so I’m skeptical.

Check out the ETH/BTC chart. ETH looks like it's just another altcoin going through its phases. We’ve seen this before, hype followed by a crash.

ETH is basically just an oscillating altcoin. Sure, it has a solid base for other altcoins, but it's losing value against BTC. Bitcoin has better returns and will likely keep it that way.

Many won’t want to hear this, but right now, investing in ETH might seem better based on some analyses. Still, ETH can't outperform BTC if it hasn't even reached its previous highs.

That term "Bitcoin catch-up asset" sounds a bit off. Looks like you're reaching a bit too hard. Might wanna rethink your strategy instead of pushing random ideas.

Let’s be real. Until ETH gets close to Bitcoin’s market cap, it’s hard to claim it’s a better performer in the long run. Short-term hype doesn’t mean much; even Dogecoin occasionally beats BTC when the hype is right.

We're talking about tech that evolves. Comparing old ETH versions to BTC isn’t valid. ETH is undervalued and that’s drawing in buyers, but Bitcoin's future isn’t looking as bright with all the scrutiny.

This doesn’t feel like a fair comparison. ETH might influence BTC's price, but I doubt it’ll replace it. ETH has some yield, but that doesn’t guarantee it'll outperform Bitcoin.

I really don’t understand how ETH is catching up with BTC. Is it utility or something else? It's still struggling to break its last ATH while BTC keeps making new highs.

That’s a typical newbie mentality. They believe the hype that ETH could overtake BTC. But its unlimited supply ensures it won't ever hold a candle to Bitcoin’s stability.
