Running WIFI on an Antminer S5... will it lower my bitcoin mining output? I'm thinking about using a Linksys EA3500-NP to set it up as a wireless bridge.

If the wifi connection is unstable, it could definitely stop your miner from working. But as long as you keep it steady with low ping, you should be fine for mining shares. About that Linksys router, if it can do the wireless bridge thing, go for it. But why not just get a wifi extender that has an ethernet port instead?

Honestly, you need to get your electricity costs below 0.001$/kWh to make it work with the S5. That's a tough situation to be profitable with. Wired connections are just so much better because they avoid all that noise and signal loss. Yeah, the EA3500-NP can act as a bridge, but I really question if it’s worth it in the long run.

Why even mess with the S5? Just get an L3+ and run it on NiceHash for BTC payments. I got an L3+ running as a space heater, and at 400 mh it uses around 565 watts. It pulls in about 80 cents a day, while the S5 barely scrapes under 10 cents. Imagine power was free... the L3+ is pulling in at least seven times the coins!
