I've heard people complain about trading competitions. Stuff like unfair rules or bots ruining everything. So I decided to join one myself. Joined a small challenge three months ago and ended up winning $100. Tried again later and snagged $250. It’s not huge money but it definitely feels good.

Honestly, I think competitions can be a bad way to gauge trading skills. But if they’re run by legit companies, they could be fair. No bots or shady practices allowed, right? Everyone should just be careful not to gamble and have a solid strategy. Congrats on your wins, keep it up!

Trading competitions? No thanks, not for me. Why compete when there's no guarantee on outcomes? I trade for my own gain, not to impress others. If I fail, I just learn and improve. Trading can be rewarding or frustrating, but it’s personal.

The problem with these competitions is they’re usually money makers for the exchange. They profit off fees while the average trader struggles. It’s kinda like betting, honestly. If the level is close to what you normally do, sure, give it a shot. But don’t put too much into it.

Makes sense, I see your point. But maybe your success comes from being strategic about your trades? Most people can’t handle the pressure of a competition, so it’s a different game for those who can.

I’m skeptical about how much these competitions help average traders. You're focused on beating others, which can skew risk management. Experienced traders might thrive, but I think there are way better ways to hone your skills.

There’s a whole bunch of traders I know who’ve been stuck in the same spot trying to win these competitions. They look good from the outside but can’t break through. Just focus on your own journey, don’t let competition stress you out.

Anyone know how to join these contests? I haven’t had any luck winning anything, maybe a skill issue on my part? Bots seem to always be dominating. It’s easy to say you should try but reality is tough.

Yeah, jumping into a competition without knowing the risks is a bad move. The mindset is totally different from managing your regular investments. If you master the discipline needed, then maybe it could work for you.

I get that a lot of responses here differ from my experience. I don’t aim to be the best. I go for pnl challenges or trading volume ranks tailored to my skills. Winners are ranked by their performance; it’s more structured.

When I trade, I like to do things my way. Competing just feels like unnecessary pressure. I take my time to strategize, and competitions don’t usually allow that.

I hear you about bot usage in these competitions. If they catch you cheating, you’re out quickly. There are legit challenges out there that help traders build skills. Like Bybit’s events they keep encouraging both new and seasoned traders.

I tried ones on Bitget, focusing on on-chain tokens. Won about $250 for hitting the volume goals in a week, and it didn’t cost me anything to enter. Can’t complain!

Congrats on those wins! Just remember, every new challenge has risks. Previous success doesn’t mean you’ll win again. I’ve never done it; I’d rather keep my wins low-key.

Did you have a minimum to join and how much was your overall trading volume? Those wins sound impressive, I’m curious if the competition was tough.

Yeah, I think the entry was about $50 for newbies. Existing traders needed a $1k volume to get into the prize pool. My approach was minimal TA, mostly FA, and focusing on smart money flows.

Tried a few competitions before but… never won. Learned it’s tough to achieve goals under pressure. Newbies need solid skills to compete and do well.

If there's an API, bots can really simplify things. Just trading 24/7 can maximize opportunities. But keep in mind, participating in these contests can shape how you handle risk.

Even if you lose in the competition, it’s not the end of the world as long as you’re trading wisely. These competitions can reward consistent trades not just wins. They’re great for newbies to gain experience.

I’ve been seeing buzz around these exchanges lately. Not trading much right now, just holding on to my investments. If I do try a contest, it’ll be small since the market’s crazy. If it's free, that’s a definite plus.
