So in April 2024, CZ got hit with a four-month prison sentence for breaking US money laundering laws. He admitted to helping users dodge sanctions and had to cough up $4.3 billion. Binance has been pushing for a pardon since he got out last September, and now with Trump’s new coin and a friendlier president for crypto, they’re thinking this is the time for that pardon to happen... crazy times.

Already seen some chatter about this here. It’s a bit weird this is on a bitcoin board though, right? Seems like it should go somewhere else, maybe an exchange or legal section? Just saying, it doesn't really fit the exchanges topic. But whatever, we’ll figure it out later.

Yeah, you make a point about the legal aspects. Should’ve been in the Bitcoin legal section. But hey, at least we’re talking about it. Anyway, do you think he’ll actually get that pardon? I mean, unless he doesn’t want it, seems like it should happen.
