Changing Satoshi to Bitcoin: Is It a Bad Move?

So, this talk about BIP-177, renaming 1 satoshi to 1 bitcoin... Sounds kinda sketchy to me. If I get it right, that means the price would show as super tiny amounts, like $0.0011 for a whole bitcoin? That's just weird. People care more about the price than the actual amount of BTC they have, right? Plus, there’s no way we can even talk about those tiny amounts in regular convo. I mean, what are we gonna call them? It’s just not practical.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying. It’s like Bitcoin has turned into a store of value, kinda like gold, instead of being used for everyday transactions. If we start showing BTC prices with all these decimals, it’ll confuse new people and even seasoned traders. Plus, it could scare off investors who are already worried about volatility. I mean, who wants to trade if they can’t even wrap their head around the numbers? Just doesn’t sound like a smart idea, imo.
