Not sure if it’s been discussed here, but this is a pretty wild story
I just saw that the chances of the Clarity Act getting passed have really dropped according to various news outlets.
Trump's pushing this thing hard, but it’s facing huge obstacles, especially in the Senate. What do you guys think? Is this gonna happen or what?
Chances of the Clarity Act Passing

Honestly, I think it's a bunch of crap for Bitcoin.
I don’t know if it’ll help stablecoins or altcoins at all.
Bitcoin's been getting more popular even without this Act, and everybody knows it’s a commodity, not some security.
But if it passes, it’ll put it in law so no one can argue about it anymore. What about the altcoins, though? Some like Ethereum might be seen as securities, right?

Haven't really had time to look into it but the whole ethics thing seems to be part of why the bill isn’t moving.
Democrats want this ethics rule added to limit how politicians profit, but it’s confusing.
If it helps stop politicians from abusing their power to profit like Trump did, then I get it.
The Clarity Act has some cool protections that might actually help the crypto world.
For instance, Section 604 offers safety for open-source devs from being liable for others’ actions.
They won’t be held responsible for transactions unless they control the funds. We’ve seen too many devs get arrested for junk they didn’t do. No custody, no liability, sounds decent right?
Don’t be surprised if devs still get busted even if this bill passes. Developers are raking it in, but scams are everywhere.
Look at RaveDAO, who got arrested for that? Nothing happened.
Crypto is full of scams, but are they using the Clarity Act to protect those bad actors? And let’s not forget Trump pocketed over a billion from crypto while his token investors are left rekt.
It’s all back and forth on this thing. Some don’t want ethics added, while others do. Can politicians really run companies or invest in them? If they can, then why not in crypto?
Seems like some just can’t handle Trump making bank, so they’re stalling using a dumb reason.

The issue is nobody trusts Trump or his motives. He’s got a history of being greedy and totally self-centered. It’s all divisive talk that just distracts from the real problems, while the wealthy keep getting wealthier and the rest of us suffer. Laws with names like “Clarity Act” feel so fake, just a marketing ploy to benefit him and his crew.

Trump and his party are stalling this thing because it limits their ability to mess with crypto while in office. I get why they’d want that.
Still think the bill will get passed eventually, maybe not this year but sooner or later.
The Clarity Act is just a proposed bill, not something that Trump can just push through.
It’s up to Congress to decide if it goes through or not, and it’s already passed some stages. It’s gonna hit the Senate floor soon.
Trump’s involvement isn’t the whole story here; it’s about the bill's issues.

He made over a billion from crypto, around 1.4 billion, and of course, he’s shouting about getting the Clarity Act passed.
This SEC vs CFTC mess has been chaotic for ages. There’s a clear line between wanting regulation and someone personally benefiting from it.
Saying that’s invalid just because it’s Trump is ridiculous.
Democrats want ethics added because it’s Trump in power; but that doesn’t belong in this legislation.
It distracts from the bill’s real purpose.
Honestly, it’s fine for a president to hold crypto, but launching memecoins? That’s risky as hell.
Safe harbor for non-custodial devs is great, but that yield restriction on stablecoins? Ugh.
I’m still on the fence about whether this bill is a good or bad thing. Definitely waiting to see what happens during the Clarity hearing.
You can seriously shut up with your nonsense.
Trump’s way better than any of your family members, and it’s people from the bottom who throw shade at the top.
This is all based on someone who hasn’t even read the Clarity Act. It’s one of the best pieces of legislation out there.
You’ve got a point, but too much chatter is about Trump instead of what’s really in the bill.
Liking or disliking him doesn’t change if the framework is good or not.
Are regulatory uncertainties cleared up while still holding bad actors accountable? Clear rules don’t mean weak enforcement.
Yeah, I expected no other take from this thread. For real, the Clarity Act isn't really about Bitcoin but helping altcoins get recognized and maybe push through those ETFs.
Some Bitcoin fans are gonna hate this, but altcoins like XRP and Dogecoin could really use the support.
You guys seriously need to wake up. Most people here just post nonsense.
Trump’s got nothing to do with the Clarity Act in a personal way.
This isn’t just about him; it’s more about the rules that Democrats wanna throw in to mess things up.
