So, the network just hit 20 million bitcoins mined. That’s like 95% of all BTC out there now. Crazy, right? Let's break it down for the newcomers here. It took us 17 years to mine those 20 million coins, but the last 1 million could take over 100 years. How does that even work?

Just picture this... You got a huge jar you wanna fill with water. But there’s a rule: every time you pour, you can only fill half the remaining space. Like, the first pour fills half the jar, then the next one fills half of what’s left, and so on. That's kinda how Bitcoin mining works!
