So, Tennessee just banned crypto ATMs, right? Canada seems to be following suit now, claiming these machines are tools for scammers.

Honestly, that excuse feels weak. Governments use these same lines when they wanna target crypto. Like, why not just ban cash ATMs too since criminals use those as well?
I really hope this doesn’t fly. Bitcoin's not inherently a scam tool. It’s frustrating that they can’t see fiat is often a bigger issue.
Yeah, if people think ATMs are used by scammers, they might not care enough to protest. But banning them isn’t the answer. Scammers existed before crypto ATMs.
People should protest against the ban, not just for ATMs but for freedom to use Bitcoin. This government viewpoint is totally off.
It’s like saying we should shut down Facebook because some scammers are on it. Fraud happens everywhere, not just with crypto.
It’s crazy. The scams with Bitcoin ATMs are well known, yet people keep falling for them. Will a ban really solve anything?
Canada was ahead of the curve with crypto back in 2013. This feels like a weird backtrack considering how much they’ve embraced it before.

Yeah, what’s the point of banning ATMs when all crypto transactions are traceable? Seems like a scapegoat to cover up a bigger issue.
I’m starting to think there’s a hidden agenda here. Every time Bitcoin gets momentum, bad news follows. Coincidence?
Lol, it’s absurd to blame Bitcoin for fraud when it happens with fiat all the time. Why not just ban all ATMs?
True, but Bitcoin ATMs rely on Bitcoin. Without it, they’d be just like cash ATMs. In my country, no one cares about them anyway.

It’s probably just a proposal for now. They might ask for more KYC stuff instead of a full ban.
But will banning ATMs really curb fraud? There’s gotta be better ways to tackle crypto crimes.
They should just add AML checks like banks do. Criminals are using cash to get into crypto, but they wanna act like it’s all about Bitcoin.

Exactly! They blame Bitcoin, but fiat can facilitate fraud too. Better regulation is the way to go, not bans.
Fiat is controlled by the government, they can take a cut. But Bitcoin? It’s decentralized, they can’t control it, so they wanna ban it.

Right? Bitcoin isn’t directly involved in fraud. It’s just an easy target for them to attack.
This feels like an excuse to limit access to Bitcoin. Instead of banning, why not create strict regulations for ATMs?
Yeah, if they really wanted to help, they’d focus on education first. Closing them down isn’t gonna fix anything.
