is it really possible to mine a block with a low hashrate? like way lower than mining pools?
Can You Actually Mine a Block with Low Hashrate?

yeah, it can happen if luck is on your side. there’s a case where a solo miner with just 10 TH/s actually mined a block on the BTC blockchain.
doubtful, a GPU would take ages to find a block. if you’re unlucky, it'll probably end up orphaned too.
mining with tons of GPUs is like betting on impossible odds. the chances are super slim. you better off with a mining pool.

the real chances are on my solo mining guide, found it here.

for sure, you can mine a block with low hashrate, but the odds are really, really low compared to miners with higher hashrate. it's all about probability.

0% chance for me. comparing a huge ASIC farm to my old junk is just not fair. maybe on low hashrate coins, but pools will likely be more profitable.
saying 0% is a bit harsh. even a USB miner hit a block once with 2 TH. it's all RNG.
don't get your hopes up. I've seen USB miners in China still trying their luck. mostly, it's just a waste of time.
true. gotta have a ton of luck. using old hardware makes it even harder.
I can. it's like playing the lottery though. I'm just using an ESP32 chip at 11 kH/s for kicks; not expecting to hit any blocks.
what pool are you using for that? 11 kH/s is super low for Bitcoin mining.
just doing this for fun, so no worries. the ESP32 is actually from work, not my money spent.
shoutout to the miner who solved a block solo recently with a huge hashrate. they got a big reward!

yep, tiny chance, but it’s there. if conditions align perfectly, it might just happen.
realistically, you need a lot of ASICs and electricity. that's a serious investment.

good luck solving a block with low hash rate. just not worth it. the lucky ones are few and far between.
how did that miner hit a block? was it pure luck or did they plan it out? seems risky.

so you’re saying dreams can come true? sure, let the hopefuls dream. but reality is harsh.

+1 to the dreamers, why not let people keep trying?
