Anyone actually used a Raspberry PI for mining? I’m curious if it can work.

There's no way a Raspberry PI is good for mining nowadays. You're just wasting power. You'll need ASICs for that and they’re super expensive.

Seriously, guys, if you read the pinned threads here, you’d avoid asking silly questions. Just saying... learn a bit and save time.

Yeah, mining via CPU is ancient history. You can’t mine Bitcoin that way anymore, but I have a Raspberry Pi 400. Setting it up as a Full node to help out the network.

You can use an RPi to control USB miners for Bitcoin. Not gonna make you rich, but it’s something. Just get those GekkoScience USB miners.

Those USB miners are hard to find though. They say they can mine at 23 GH/sec, but you’re looking at like $2.75 a year in revenue. Crazy, right?

Right?! An RPi by itself only hits around 20-30MH/s, which is basically nothing. But if you hook it to a Gekko or something, you could learn how mining works.

But if the USB miner only pulls in $10 over a year, good luck even pulling that out to your wallet.

Depends on the pool, honestly. Some let you withdraw at 0.0001 BTC, not sure how many do though.
