Hey guys, I’m thinking about getting the ASIC Repair Center for fixing my broken miners. That Pro version is super expensive, while the cheaper model only supports a few hashboards. Can I just get the cheaper one and add the software later on? Would love to hear your thoughts.

You can definitely buy the cheaper one and upgrade later. Just make sure you check which models it can support if you do that. It’s a solid plan without breaking the bank.

+1 for the cheaper option. Not everyone needs that Pro version, especially when starting out.

Yeah but what if the software update isn’t available for the cheaper model? No guarantees, you know?

I doubt they would limit it like that. Usually, they offer software updates for all models.

not always the case tho... sometimes they prioritize the more expensive stuff.

Can’t hurt to ask their support. Better to be safe than sorry.
