Check this out https://blockchain.info/address/1BHntfdkTjGp7Z9GTjerpcwKpB9hEdjbM5. I moved some funds last Saturday, 22/07/2017. Is BTC-e actually transferring users' money? It's all going to this address: https://blockchain.info/address/1FFs5hv6JBScJq63aFZvBaNsP6FwnhVgre. If it’s the FBI or whatever, wouldn’t they freeze accounts instead of moving cash around? Someone look into this and let me know!

The FBI might be shifting the bitcoins to a safer address. They can’t really trust the BTC-e wallets, so maybe they’re just securing the funds from other access.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. Remember when they seized all those Silk Road coins after Ross Ulbricht got nabbed? They moved over 200K coins to a secure wallet managed by the feds. Looks like a repeat here.

My coins also got sent to that same address: https://blockchain.info/address/1FFs5hv6JBScJq63aFZvBaNsP6FwnhVgre. They’re currently unspent, probably with the authorities now. Has anyone else noticed this? Did Wex compensate anyone?

Looks like the US Justice Department has taken over the site. I wouldn’t count on getting any of that stolen money back.

Right? Their old domain is seized, and they’ve got users’ funds like mine. I reached out to Wex support, but they just keep saying they don’t have any historical data from the old platform. So, they can’t confirm or deny anything. Guess they’re in the hands of the feds due to money laundering, and we’re all just getting shafted.

Good morning! Any updates on btc-e.com? Are they returning BTC to users yet?

Have you been asleep for years? The FSB and US gov won’t give back any criminal money. Sure, you can try to sue the exchange, but BTC-e was shut down back in 2017. You’re not getting anything.
