Saw this screenshot before it gets deleted, just in case.

This situation in Web3 is wild. Even big names are just cashing in and forgetting what made people interested in their projects. Really curious what’s going on in that guy’s head to suggest 4% inflation for BTC.

That’s honestly one of the dumbest things I’ve read. If millions of BTC are lost, keeping 21 million is still plenty. Making it more scarse could raise its value. We don’t need more than 21 million.

Maybe he’s trying to shift perceptions for some wealthy group. At that level, it seems about keeping the average person financially trapped. Not cool.

Regardless of past praise for him, he's just another shill trying to pump some new coin. If he thinks raising the BTC cap is smart, he missed the point of Bitcoin entirely. Just fork it if you want a different supply.

What was he thinking? I’m no genius, but pushing for more BTC makes zero sense. My grandparents left me stuff that’s still valuable a limited supply is key.

Him saying BTC is like fiat is just ridiculous. He misses the vision Satoshi had. Limited supply is part of what makes Bitcoin valuable, regardless of what anyone thinks.

Why change the cap? People are careful about their coins now with BTC being worth so much. If we ditch the 21M limit, we’d just end up with another failed coin.

Totally agree. 21 million is key for Bitcoin. It keeps people secure about their investments. A clear supply means decisions matter, and that’s part of what makes Bitcoin stand strong.

Time may fade, but it’s not about losing keys. Kids will take over. All keys lost? Only if no one’s having kids what a joke.

Didn’t expect to see something like this from someone in crypto. I’ve been trying to educate my friends on Bitcoin’s value, but some still don’t get it. 4% inflation? That’s just making it less valuable.

What do we expect from someone like him? Always a chance to see people trying to stifle Bitcoin’s true nature. Their bitterness shows they were once in our camp.

He’s not attacking Bitcoin outright, just suggesting a bad idea. People need to think for themselves instead of getting swayed by someone’s wealth. Money doesn’t equal wisdom.

He basically says if the supply rules change, public interest might drop. His own altcoin has a cap, yet he wants to change BTC’s rules? Makes no sense.

'In a thousand years...' Yeah, let’s hope we evolve past Bitcoin by then. Sticking to old tech isn’t a good future.

What do you expect from a dev whose coin dropped like a rock? If he can't figure out how to manage his projects, why should we take him seriously about Bitcoin? He’s missing the whole foundation of BTC.

This narrative being pushed is suspicious. Some ETF issuer already hinted at it. Who knows if this will escalate into a bigger situation?

Seriously, this feels like he’s just appealing to the clueless. Lots of folks will eat it up, it’s a classic move.

Exactly, this is why he didn't stick with Bitcoin. The fact is, 21M means scarcity. Bitcoin's future is tied to its supply limit, and saying otherwise is just crazy.

Look, everyone’s entitled to their opinion. If his view doesn’t mesh with reality, we can ignore it. Why is he poking his nose in Bitcoin when Zcash has issues to solve?
