There was a time when Bitcoin was just seen as another investment option. But now, look at El Salvador. They made it legal tender and their president has big plans for using Bitcoin as a strategic reserve. Even the US is considering bills to hold Bitcoin as a reserve in some states.

Exactly, it’s picking up steam globally. Countries are realizing Bitcoin’s benefits, especially in terms of reserves. It can really help during inflation and act as a financial innovation.

I’m really bummed about this bull run though. We’re not even close to the highs we saw in 2021 when you consider inflation. And self custody makes Bitcoin special, but big profit potential feels kinda gone.

The US signed a bill for a Bitcoin reserve, but I’m skeptical they’ve actually bought any. The only Bitcoin they have is what they've seized. States like Texas and Arizona are in on this too, but nothing’s really happened yet.

That's a bunch of nonsense. Sure, El Salvador made Bitcoin legal in September 2021, but they had to backtrack because of IMF pressure. Their strategic reserves? They started then and are still going.

I think we haven’t hit the peak for Bitcoin this cycle. There’s a chance we could see prices like $150k. Right now’s a good time to stack more Bitcoin before it bounces back.

The ATH in 2021 hit around $68k, and 2025 might be close to $124k. The ROI this cycle is disappointing, though. Only 80.98% compared to 248.05% in 2017. Not what we hoped for. But hey, 80% in 3.5 years isn’t awful.

Not bad at all! If the US buys Bitcoin, that could boost prices. But if they keep the seized ones and don’t sell, the price could stabilize too. I’d prefer they hold onto them.

So do you really think inflation is 100% since 2021? Someone should put you in charge of economies. Seems like some folks just post nonsense here.

Bitcoin's actually been on a bullish trend in 2023, but I’m not sure if this bull run is over. There’s still a chance to hit a new ATH, maybe $150k. It’s decentralized nature is a huge plus. It’s really a store of value.

For sure, Bitcoin’s a solid investment now. Bukele made waves making it legal in El Salvador, but it was the US response that made headlines. Their decision really got people interested.

I totally agree. Bitcoin’s weight in the global economy is growing. People expected a quick spike during the bull run, but it’s more about steady value over time.

I’m actually impressed with this bull run. Bitcoin doesn’t just crash and stay low anymore. It bounces back faster and that’s a change for the better!

A lot of us miss the point of why Bitcoin was created. It was meant to be a currency for transactions, not just an investment. We kinda lost sight of that.

True, Bitcoin’s a store of value long-term, but let’s not ignore how volatile it is. Gold doesn’t swing like Bitcoin does. Governments watch that closely.

I agree with OP here. Focusing solely on price misses the bigger picture. Bitcoin’s fixed supply and decentralization are what really make it valuable.

Bitcoin has shifted from just an asset to a hedge against bad policies and weak currencies. Countries dealing with inflation see BTC as a safe haven, not just a profit opportunity.

This volatility is what attracts so many to the market. If you play it right, you can make good money. But one misstep can wipe out profits. Gotta be smart.

Bitcoin’s a speculative asset, and as adoption rises, so does its value. In an economy dealing with inflation, investors are looking to Bitcoin for an edge.

Bitcoin is definitely a real asset now, regarded as a global store of value. El Salvador is accumulating it for reserves, and even Trump signed an order for a Bitcoin reserve. This is a shift for Bitcoin.
