Been wondering this for a while. What stablecoin do you guys recommend when the market is crashing? Like if we’re at $108k, and it starts to fall, and I sell at $107k, which stablecoin should I move to? I’m thinking about USDC, USDT, DAI, or just USD. Thoughts?

Honestly, all stablecoins seem alright to me. It’s tough to judge reliability since there's no real standard. If they’re still trading and not facing lawsuits or regulatory heat, it’s mostly fine. I typically go for USDT when I want to switch to stablecoin, but I don’t discount the others.
But what about depegging? Like, Terra’s UST is a whole different story. It was super volatile compared to USD-backed coins. Totally wrecked anyone who switched to it when it depegged. Have you guys seen that Forbes article on it? Worth a read.
I just choose whichever stablecoin has good liquidity on whatever platform I'm using. I don’t dive deep into the tech since I don’t hold them for long. To me, all these centralized coins carry risks.

True, but converting to USD seems safest. Though, it won’t let you earn in DeFi. I keep some of my stablecoins in USDe, which is synthetic but allows for farming. Staking it boosts returns.
USD isn’t a stablecoin, it's fiat. All those others are trying to peg to it, which is why I’d rather hold USD if possible.

Yeah but remember, UST used different assets as collateral, like Luna, which is crazy volatile. That’s why it failed. Usual stablecoins like USDT or USDC are much safer.

For me, USDT and USDC are the way to go, especially when transferring funds. USD isn’t a stablecoin, just to clarify. I like to convert to USDT or USDC when I see the market dipping.

I’m all about USDT. More trading volume, more users globally. I’ve stuck with it since I got into crypto, and don’t see a reason to switch.
USDT is great since it pairs well with lots of cryptos for trading. Just hope Europe doesn’t pull the plug on it by the end of next year.

You seem kinda new, but I’d say definitely go for USDT. It’s one of the safer stablecoins. USDC doesn’t rank as high, no matter how much they try.
Good insight! Selling to USD is probably the safest bet, right? It doesn’t seem to depeg like others do. But I can see why some still trust other stablecoins.

I usually just pick between USDC and USDT based on what’s available. For short-term security, either one works. Lately, I lean towards USDC since it’s more accessible.
When holding stablecoins, you should consider how long and the risk of seizure. Both USDT and USDC can be blacklisted. DAI is decentralized but tends to depeg more.
Right, I don’t hold my coins long if I use stablecoins. Most people should probably just keep their cash and convert when needed.
DAI could be the most reliable one, but its low market cap makes it less popular. Traders often prefer USDT or USDC for quick trades.

DAI’s decentralized aspect is cool, but most crypto folks don’t get how it differs from centralized options. It’s a shame, really.
I like USDT best because it’s super liquid and fits well with BTC exchanges. But I wouldn’t hold stablecoins long-term.

I prefer USDC and DAI. USDC’s being accepted by governments boosts my confidence, and DAI being decentralized is a plus.

honestly, USDC and USDT are probably the best for selling off during dips. Both have their pros and cons.
