Hey everyone What’s the best spot for starting a crypto prop trading firm? I was thinking about Dubai but, wow, those yearly fees are around 10k. Anyone got other ideas?

If you wanna avoid legal hiccups, Dubai seems like a solid pick. It’s pretty open to crypto and doesn’t enforce super strict rules. But yeah, have you checked out places like El Salvador? They’re friendly to crypto too.

Not really sure about the best countries for prop firms. I’m involved with a crypto prop firm called CFT; they’re either in Poland or Switzerland. When you get your firm running, don’t forget to keep this community updated!

What exactly are the costs? Is it just the business registration? Or do you need a special license to do crypto stuff in Dubai? I can only imagine how pricey rent must be there, especially for those swanky office spaces.

Good point! Dubai's prices are a real challenge. Starting out might not be super profitable, but...maybe look into other countries where it’s easier to register a crypto prop firm.

Definitely consider Dubai. They’ve got a decent approach to regulating cryptocurrencies. Plus, there’s a big chance to attract traders who’d be interested in your services. You might also think about the USA or Canada, but yeah, the regulations there can be a bit hard.

I bet it’ll all be online. No need for an actual office or traders clocking in all day. That was ages ago. These days, a lot of prop traders work from home. So, it's likely just licensing fees you’ll worry about.

Is jurisdiction really that important? Focus on having a reliable firm with good service. Go for the popular ones that are well-reviewed. Do some research...you’ll find ones that meet quality standards with lower fees.
