Had to share my experience with the Antminer T21. I know the title sounds like clickbait, but trust me, it's a solid miner. That said, I found out something annoying after owning it for about a month. If one hashboard goes down, the whole unit fails instead of just continuing with the other working boards. I think this has to do with the 3-phase power setup needing balance. If anyone knows more about this, please chime in. My miner is now bricked because one hashboard found zero Asics.

The epic control board from altairtech can solve that problem. You can run with 1, 2, or all 3 boards. I've been running my T21 without any issues, just using 2 boards. No problems here.
Actually, if it’s powered by one big PSU, then the 3-phase setup shouldn’t really be causing your problem. It’s just a more efficient way to feed power. Like Phil mentioned, it’s likely the Bitmain controller isn’t set to deal with one or more hashboards being disabled.
You could try loading braiins on the controller if it’s the standard one from Bitmain. That software lets you disable boards. I’m also experimenting with a one-board setup on my T21 to see how it performs. I’ve got some loki chips that work with non-stock PSUs using the epic controller. My PSU is rated for 1500 watts at 120 volts, and it can output 13.8 volts. I’m aiming for a max of 60th while pulling around 1200 watts. Should be within specs of the PSU.
