Been out of mining for years but wanna jump back in. I loved getting new hardware in the mail and setting it up. Got scammed a while ago and lost all my earnings. It sucked. Anyway, I found asicminervalue.com and it looks nice, showing ROI on miners and all that. But when I check a miner model, a list of retailers pops up. Are those guys trustworthy?

You might wanna move this to the Mining board if you want better advice from experienced miners. Just saying. Check out the official websites for mining gear like Bitmain and Canaan. Less chance of getting scammed that way. I’ve seen some bad stuff about vendors from asicminervalue.com, so be careful.

I can’t say all those retailers are legit. If you’re buying a miner, double-check everything. They aren’t cheap, and getting ripped off would hurt a lot. Just because a reseller is on that site doesn’t mean they’re safe. Always go for the official sites if you can.

Lol, if asicminervalue isn't sure about its list, why should anyone else trust it? I bet some people just blindly go with the tested list. They should really have a disclaimer on their site, not just in the FAQ. Seems sketchy as hell.

The whole list is probably full of sketchy vendors. You might find a scam or two for sure. A few happy buyers and one who got nothing, that’s tempting for them. Their requirements to be listed are super low, so yeah... better stick to buying directly from manufacturers or use trusted escrow sellers.
