Hey everyone,
I've been hearing a lot about prop trading firms lately and I'm kinda skeptical. Are they actually legit or just a trap for naive traders?
I know about FTMO and The5ers, but I also found some newer firms like Hirotrader and a crypto one called Mubite that claims to offer instant funding. Sounds interesting, but is there anyone here who has actually gotten paid from these firms?
Are proprietary trading firms worth it?

Some traders start with prop firms because they struggle to get enough capital for trading.
But there’s definitely pressure to meet their terms, which can make you emotional and lead to losses.

I think some prop firms are real, but not all are safe. FTMO and The5ers have a solid track record, but these new ones are still untested.
It’s risky since some firms probably make more cash from failed challenges than from actual trading profits. And crypto prop firms like Mubite? Even riskier, given the lack of regulation.
Yeah, prop firms are a mixed bag. Some legit ones have been around for years, like FTMO and MyForexFunds (despite their recent issues). But new firms pop up all the time, and while trading with someone else’s money sounds awesome, it's all about the details.
The challenge model is a big risk, especially when firms profit more from traders failing than from actual trades.
Those that say they offer instant funding? I bet there are hidden rules.
Better to stick with firms that have a good rep. I've heard too many stories of prop firms that promise the world but can’t pay out in the end. FTMO is a solid choice!
Prop trading is legit, but too many traders jump in without knowing the rules. They treat it like gambling and end up losing.
Stats show less than 10% of traders are profitable. So yeah, firms make most of their money off failed challenges but they do pay out.
Just tried mubite.com and it was pretty cool. Their fees are fair and the support team is quick.
They charge a one-time challenge fee with no hidden costs, so you just pay for the challenge and that’s it.
Prop firms are real, but if someone random messages you claiming they can help, just know it’s probably a scam.
I haven’t seen this in crypto, but it’s common in traditional markets.
If you're considering one, definitely check out FTMO. They have a solid success record and reasonable terms. If you’re confident, you can use them to build up your trading skills. Just be cautious, though. Not all firms are trustworthy.

I know FTMO and other legit ones like Funded Next and Alpha Capital.
But make sure whatever firm you choose is known among traders and has a good reputation. Don’t just jump into anything based on a friend’s recommendation.
There are legit firms and some that just look legit but are scams.
The real ones that help traders are rare. Most are just out to profit off you, which makes it tough to pass their challenges.
