Hey all, I'm kinda new to crypto but I've been watching meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for a while now. With so many new altcoins popping up daily, I'm curious... are meme coins worth hanging onto in 2025, or is the excitement finally dying down? Some say they're just a joke, others think they have real communities backing them. What do you guys think?

Honestly, meme coins were never meant for long-term holding. Just look at the stats. So many have launched but only a tiny fraction actually last. It's like gambling. You're either gonna win big or get wrecked. Best strategy? Get in, take your profits, and bail out before it tanks.

Appreciate your insight, especially from someone who's seen it all. I totally agree, the survival rate is super low and holding them feels risky. But I’ve heard stories about people building portfolios from catching the right meme coin wave. Is there any strategy in tracking community hype to find those quick wins, or is that just wishful thinking?

If you’re sitting on meme coins, just know you might regret it later. Holding them is usually a bad idea and I really wouldn’t suggest buying them. Like someone said, they're basically jokes. If you wanna invest seriously, just go for Bitcoin. It's way safer, and there are other solid altcoins out there too.

For real, memecoins are hella unreliable. Most of them crash after a while, and it’s risky to hold them for the long term. Sure, some have survived rough patches, but you can't depend on them. 2025 is gonna be filled with altcoin action, but memecoins? Mostly just pump and dump schemes.

It really comes down to the specific meme project you pick. I've held onto a few, mainly Ethereum-based ones, but those gas fees are killer. I found this pepecoin project recently that I kinda like. Been holding $PEP since last May. Do your own research, though. Different goals mean different strategies.

Some people really won’t get it until they’re stuck with worthless tokens. Sure, some folks can follow hype, but others are just delusional thinking they’ll find the golden meme coin. Yeah, it might make them rich, but it’s not likely.

Just heard about this new rug pull involving a meme coin. They created a fake CR7 coin and scammed people in minutes. This is why I steer clear of new meme coins. Too risky.

Meme coins are only worth a short hold. If you’re thinking long-term, you’re gonna be disappointed with your profits. But for quick flips? Yeah, if it’s a solid team behind it, you might get lucky.

Welcome here! Honestly, most memecoins are just luck-based. I lost a lot thinking I’d be the exception. Should have just invested that cash into Bitcoin instead.

In 2025, memecoins are riskier than ever. Sure, some can pump when the hype’s there, but most lack any real value. If you're holding, it’s basically gambling fun if you can lose but dangerous if you're treating it like a real investment.

For the old meme coins, not really worth it anymore. New ones keep coming out and old coins just lose traction. Better to shift to established coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Holding onto meme coins is usually a waste. It’s more about luck. Yeah, they rise when the market’s hot, but when it dips? They drop hard. Pick one with a solid community, but always consider the risks.

Gotta avoid meme coins if you don’t want to lose money. Most of these devs are just out to scam investors with pump and dump schemes. Bitcoin is the only one I’d consider for long-term.

Seriously, forget holding memecoins. Why not go for solid altcoins like Ethereum or Solana? Most memecoins are just pump and dump, and my own experience was painful when I tried to hold them.

I could see holding DOGE, but the other meme tokens? Nah, too risky. They can just crash when investors lose interest, and that’s when it all goes south.

Hey, newbie here. If you’re starting in crypto, just go for something solid like Bitcoin. It’s a safer bet and won’t leave you regretting. Memecoins are just a joke and you can lose big fast.

Forget the memes and go for larger caps. They’re more reliable and the chances of actually profiting are way better.

It all depends on the specific meme coins, but yeah, the risk is sky-high. Just read about this Kanye West meme coin that tanked big time. Clear rug pull, and you'll never know who really profits or losses.

I wanted to chime in but honestly, the OP seems a bit lost. How did they even get into memecoins in the first place? If you’re looking for validation here, Bitcoin is the real deal. Memecoins will just lead to regrets.
