Not too long ago, it felt like altcoins were everywhere. People were trading them on Binance and PancakeSwap and having a blast. Wondering if that's still the case or what.
The altcoin scene is pretty wild. Lots of ups and downs compared to Bitcoin. Yeah, some coins are still making some waves, like AI projects and NEAR Protocol, but most aren't hitting those crazy 10x gains.
It's been ages since we had a true alt season after 2021. Feels like altcoins are pretty much dead. They’ve been 'done' for almost 5 years if I'm being real.
Totally agree. It's like nobody's really into altcoins anymore. I’m mostly seeing talk about legit ones on Coinbase, not so much the meme coins from DEXs like PancakeSwap.
You guys forgot about the altcoin pumps when BTC was booming. Think XRP and Solana went nuts during that time. It’s all about timing and understanding the market.
There’s still some action on DEXs, but yeah, mostly meme coins that pump and dump. PancakeSwap is busy, but a lot of these coins are just here for the quick cash before crashing.
Best luck for huge gains is buying at the bottom of a bear market. But even those Binance Alpha coins just tank soon after listing, very few hold their value.
The past year showed that many popular altcoins didn't grow much. BTC is still running the show, and altcoins are struggling to keep up with its dominance.
Pepe and other memecoins did pretty solid during BTC's rise before. But the game has changed; now it takes serious research to find a winner among the altcoins.
Oh yeah, there’s still plenty of trading happening, especially with people trying to DCA or short-term trades. Tokens hitting 10x are not extinct, just rare.
