Is altseason really over?

Back in 2014 and 2017, altseason was a breeze. You could just buy anything on exchanges and watch it soar. Now? It's a different story. Too many coins out there, and most just bleed against BTC forever.

True, altseason exists, but it's nowhere near what it used to be. I see what you mean about the market being saturated with coins. Some say we didn’t even have a proper altseason last cycle, but I think we did. Just not what people expect.

Totally agree, it feels like a gambling casino now. Before we pretended we were investing in something meaningful, but now it’s just endless new coins every day. It’s like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Exactly, the market is just too crowded now. You actually have to put in effort if you wanna make a profit.

I don’t think altseason is dead but it already happened twice in 2024. People just don’t notice. We’re clearly heading into a bear market, so expecting it to happen again is pointless.

People kept waiting for that classic altseason feel, but when it came, they didn’t even realize. They were just hoping for another Bitcoin bull run to push the alts.

I gave up on altcoins a while back. It's a lot harder to pick a winner now. Just tossing a bit on BNB for fun since it did alright last bull run.

I missed the days when it was all about tech talk. Now it’s just about which meme coin will pump next. It’s risky for newbies, scams are way more polished now.

That’s a good point. Many people lost everything chasing those big numbers. Crypto feels more like a casino than a serious market these days.

Yeah, if you look closely, most of those big gains come with a dark backstory. People are losing their accumulated wealth so fast. Sticking with Bitcoin seems like the safest bet.

Seems like most are just moving their assets to Bitcoin and top projects like ETH. The market is so flooded with coins that it’s hard to find any gems anymore.

You nailed it. There’s just too much supply now, and it’s hard for new tokens to gain traction. Big money is playing it safe.

The market dynamics have definitely shifted. It’s not like how it was before or even in the last altseason. Now it’s just about hype and narratives.

Chasing those massive returns has led to greed, and a lot of folks got burned. Altcoin investments feel more like gambling now.

In 2017, the demand was high and newcomers were pouring in. Now it’s just smaller bull runs, and the altcoins that do well are few and far between.

Once an altcoin drops 90%, it needs to skyrocket just to break even. That’s just unrealistic.

Last year showed us some alts did well, but it wasn't the widespread altseason everyone was hoping for.

Altcoins aren’t dead, just reset. There are too many coins, but very few that truly stand out. It’s key to choose wisely.

Exactly, stick to what you know and what works, like Bitcoin. The right altcoin can still bring profits, but you gotta be careful.

+1 to that. The altcoin landscape has changed way too much. Better to focus on the established ones.
