I'm trying to wrap my head around Bitcoin. I see these stories about scams and drug cartels using it for money laundering. If Bitcoin is better than fiat, why do criminals use it at all?

Honestly, it's wild that you're blaming Bitcoin for this. Fiat currency has been used for money laundering and scams forever. Just look at drug trafficking and fraud in your own country. Bitcoin’s just an easy scapegoat.

For sure. The truth is Bitcoin gets exploited because it's harder to trace. But criminals have used fiat for ages. So, is Bitcoin really worse?

It's like people think Bitcoin is only evil. Every form of money has been used for bad stuff. Even your favorite fiat currency has its dark side.

Exactly. Bitcoin can be seen as a victim too. It’s not like BTC was created to enable crime; it's just that shady people figured out how to use its features.

Many fail to see that fiat has been a go-to for criminals long before Bitcoin showed up. Let’s not ignore that.

Fiat is physical, easy to hide, and untracked. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a shared ledger. It's actually pretty transparent if you know where to look.

I totally get the skepticism, especially with all the critics out there. But questioning Bitcoin's value based on crime is short-sighted.

Bitcoin is like a tool, right? In the right hands, it's useful; in the wrong hands, it can be dangerous. It's not inherently bad.

Still, Bitcoin is not perfect. Just because it exists doesn't mean it needs to be blamed for everyone’s wrongdoings. That’s just absurd.

Exactly. Everyone acts like Bitcoin is just a criminal instrument when fiat has been the medium for more scandals.

Yeah, I think people need to chill on blaming Bitcoin. The reality is criminals will find a way to exploit whatever they can, with any currency.

Agreed. Bitcoin doesn’t make money laundering any easier; you can still track transactions.

There are so many ways for criminals to launder money. Bitcoin is just one option, and it wasn’t even designed for that.

Interesting point. You could say guns were invented for protection, yet they got twisted into tools for violence. It's all about intent.

I see you’re trying to be balanced, but it’s important to remember that while BTC can be misused, it’s also used for many good things.

Yeah, exactly! It’s just like fiat; both can be used for good or bad. We have to look at it from both sides.

The criticism of Bitcoin being a tool for crime seems like a narrative pushed by people who don’t understand its technology.

But if you think about it, traditional cash is the go-to for criminals. It's easier to use without a paper trail.

Bitcoin isn't anonymous like people think; its public ledger shows everything once you know how to search for it.
