Bitcoin's got millions of users, but AI is used daily by billions. Big companies are all in on AI. Bitcoin mining is over 52% renewable energy now, while AI still leans on city power grids. Where’s the outrage from activists like Greenpeace? Seems like the pressure is fading.

Honestly, I’m a huge fan of bitcoin. It’s more than just a currency; it’s a public resource. But AI? It’s got the potential to literally change the world. Seems worth all the energy we can throw at it since everyone’s using it.

'AI is essential!' So who cares if the planet burns? It’s like, we can’t live without it, right? AI has even invaded Bitcoin Talk with all these bots posting nonsense. What’s so amazing about AI anyway? Fake flavors? Deep fakes? It's wild.

Maybe you should try using AI more. It’s super helpful across the board. Almost all software is either built with AI or by AI now. Even scientists are leveraging it for research. It’s everywhere.

You nailed it with that last point. AI feels like an arms race with all its uses. It boosts productivity in every sector. The country that controls AI will dominate, not Bitcoin, which is decentralized and doesn’t really give one country an edge.

It looks like they just can’t stand Bitcoin and are using its energy use as a scapegoat. The real issue is their dislike for Bitcoin itself, not the tech. If Bitcoin grows, it threatens their grip on finance.

And let’s not forget about streaming! Think of all the HD content out there. The energy for that must dwarf what Bitcoin uses. It’s crazy to even try to compare.

Isn’t this a double standard though? Blaming Bitcoin for everything while they waste energy on their own stuff. Ever seen how much energy racing uses? That’s real waste.

Everything’s political. They pushed anti-Bitcoin propaganda hard. Now, with AI, it’s all quiet. Greenpeace and similar groups might seem green, but it’s about money.

The energy myths around Bitcoin are just that myths. The criticism didn’t lessen because of green energy; it’s just that Bitcoin’s old news now.

We can definitely use less energy and switch to renewables. Sure, initial costs are high, but the long-term gains are worth it. Maintenance costs drop too.

AI is super useful now. Ads on YouTube? Mostly AI-generated. It’s cheaper and quicker than hiring people, plus it gets results fast.

People are only concerned about their wallets. They ignore the massive energy use by AI data centers because they’ve invested in AI. They just want Bitcoin to struggle.

But AI data centers are not built by the government; they’re private companies. I’m glad folks are finally realizing it’s not just Bitcoin being targeted for energy use.

Bitcoin answers a few specific needs, like value storage and payments. AI? It’s way broader. Those who don’t jump on AI will definitely fall behind.

Not every government is out to shut down Bitcoin mining. It’s happening globally. Solar energy is underused, but as it grows, miners might switch.

Totally agree. Governments act in their self-interest. Greenpeace’s funding is a mystery, but I suspect they’ve got their own agenda too. Why no outrage about AI’s energy demand?

Comparing AI data centers to Bitcoin mining is pointless. AI centers are taxed and watched closely, Bitcoin is decentralized and harder to control.

Groups like Greenpeace aren’t really about the environment; they’re more about protecting their interests. They’ve lost a lot of ground against Bitcoin lately.

Despite AI centers consuming way more power than entire countries, they don’t face the same scrutiny Bitcoin does. Why the unequal treatment? The energy shift in Bitcoin mining is real.
