When will we finally see new Bitcoin ASIC miners hitting the market? Is it gonna take four years or even longer? All the current miners are getting outdated and less profitable. What's the usual timeline for ASIC companies to crank out newer models with better hashrates?

For sure, some companies are still in the game. But honestly, the race is likely more about chip size and efficiency than anything else. Making efficient ASICs takes resources and can take years. Not every company makes it look at Intel, they’ve struggled.

Nobody really knows. Unless these manufacturers reveal their new models, we’re kinda just guessing here. They are still pumping out miners for altcoins, though. If you wanna keep track of new releases, there are tools for that.

I think several companies are still developing new ASIC miners. Bitmain and Canaan come to mind, but I can’t think of others off the top of my head. Who knows, maybe something new will drop next year or in a couple of years.

Just having a higher hashrate doesn’t really mean much. It all comes down to the balance between price, efficiency, hashrate, and how long the miner lasts. Bitmain could overclock their miners and get better hashrate, but it risks their efficiency and lifespan.

Bitmain is leading this ASIC game for sure. Why would they launch new models before the halving if their rivals can't outdo their current tech? Profits drop post-halving, so I expect announcements for new ASICs before that.

A lot of folks just miss the point about mining economics. There are so many factors affecting profit. Sure, new mining gear is more efficient, but it’s not just about that. If the newest model costs way more, only certain miners will even think about upgrading.
