Hey guys, I need some advice on how long I should be testing used rigs before deciding to buy one. Is running it for just 10 minutes sufficient? What else should I be checking while testing?

I’d say 15 to 30 minutes is way better to test it... plus, give it a little shake to listen for any rattling sounds. If you hear something, could be a loose heatsink which might short out. Also, peek at the kernel logs to spot any potential issues. Check that it’s running cool and hitting the right hashrate.

Anyone got a guide for reading those kernel log errors? Could really use some help with that.

There are guides on the manufacturer site if you dig a bit. For example, check their links on the common kernel log errors for S9 and S17 models. It’s not everything, but it’ll help you troubleshoot a lot.
