Why is my crypto wallet so slow after updates? I mean, it’s like loading forever, sometimes nearly 2 minutes. Someone else mentioned this too, using the same wallet for years and suddenly it’s laggy. Is it the update or my internet?

Which wallet are you using? And did you check for phishing links? It could be a lot of things. If the wallet is legit, maybe your VPN is causing issues or it’s a technical problem on their side.

What wallet is it? Did you update your phone's OS? I hope it’s not one of those outdated models that haven’t seen updates for ages. Is it Bluewallet? Most complaints I’ve seen about it come from users with low RAM.

Bluewallet can take ages to load, like 3-6 minutes. I usually open it and then go do something else while waiting. Not an internet issue for me, and I don’t use a VPN. Feels like it’s calculating transaction data, but man, that’s just too long.

You didn’t even say which wallet you’re using. That’s why people can’t help you properly. If you had just named it, we could give you better advice. Slow network or phone could be the culprits.

So your wallet isn’t syncing or your balance isn’t updating? Sounds like your ISP might be blocking it. A VPN could help. If the lag started post-update, consider reverting to an earlier version.

If you’re worried, just copy your address and check your balance on a block explorer. If everything looks fine there, it’s probably the wallet or your internet. Look for recent complaints about your wallet too.

I think it’s a memory issue with your device. You should check the RAM. If your processing is slow, we need to focus on that. Wallets like Metamask can slow things down if your device is struggling.

Try another wallet on your phone to see if it’s still laggy. Poor network can make wallets laggy too. I always find Electrum lagging if my network is bad.

Really? I mean, he said it takes 2 minutes to access the wallet. Never heard of ISP issues with non-custodial wallets. With 12GB of RAM, he shouldn’t have multitasking problems.

Your wallet loading slowly is probably due to an older version. What’s the name of the wallet and your phone’s OS? If the wallet provider didn’t optimize for older OS versions, that could be the issue.

I dealt with lag using Remitano before. Thought it was my device, but it turned out to be app bloat or database issues. They fixed it eventually, but they lost me as a user.

Isn’t Remitano an exchange? Why are we talking about that instead of wallets? It’s funny how OP hasn’t responded to questions about their wallet.

There are so many fake crypto wallets out there. If it’s still slow despite updates and a good internet connection, it’s usually a technical issue on the blockchain or the device limitations.

You didn’t specify which wallet, so it’s tough to help you. Could be Bluewallet or Electrum lagging due to compatibility issues. Poor network coverage could also be a factor. Have you tried reinstalling the wallet?

I don’t know the wallet you’re using, but if it’s laggy, it’s probably not your phone’s fault. Developers sometimes make apps heavy with unnecessary features that just bog everything down.

OP hasn’t replied yet, but it sounds like their device issues. Syncing doesn’t take much internet; the data is stored locally. They should update their OS and clear storage.

Sometimes, lag comes from outdated apps. Even with updated software, if the overall system is old, it can cause issues. I see this on my Samsung all the time.

2 minutes is excessive. I’ve only seen that when my network is bad. What wallet are you using? It shouldn’t take that long unless your connection is poor.

Wallets like MetaMask are enforcing geofencing now, leading to connection issues, wrong balances, etc. If you can’t use it in your area, that could be the problem.
