Not trying to sound negative while BTC hits new highs, but I think it's important to set realistic expectations for crypto investments. Last bear market saw Bitcoin just under the 2017 ATH around $15-17k. I'm leaning toward a drop to maybe $40-60k this time, but I’m starting to wonder if I'm being too optimistic.
What do you think is the bottom for the next bear market?

Bitcoin's always unpredictable and we can only guess. Like, when BTC was below 20k, people thought hitting 100k was a fantasy, yet here we are. For the next bear market, I’d say the volatility’s lessening, so I doubt we’ll see the wild drops like before. I think any drop won’t be too severe.
A lot has changed since the last cycles. With a Bitcoin ETF and more institutional interest, I don’t think we’ll just crash to the $40k or $60k range. I predict a dip around 98-100k if it breaks support under 107k. If that fails, maybe it’ll settle around 64k, the previous ATH.

True, there's way more interest in Bitcoin now from various sectors compared to 2017. I doubt we’ll see that $40-60k range, more like $100k, especially with the institutional interest seen lately. Where it pulls back from will also be interesting.

A bear market that sees BTC lose 50% is a long shot now. I could see it bottoming around 80-90k, but below that doesn’t seem likely for a while. Not expecting Bitcoin to drop to 50k anytime in the next 8 years.
I hear you, but I'm not sure that drop won't happen. This cycle feels different, though. Bitcoin seems to be stabilizing now. I’d be shocked if it went down 50%.

I get where you're coming from, but since Bitcoin's crossed 100k, it's never dropped back to 40k. It’s unpredictable, sure, but I don't think it’ll ever hit that low again in the next couple of cycles.
I’m thinking $135k to $150k for the peak around late 2027.
How’d you arrive at that? Still expecting a nice drop, right? Is that prediction with or without a drop?
Yeah, 100k is close to where BTC is now. Sounds like you think it won’t dip at all. I see us not dropping below the lows of the next cycle unless something major happens.
We haven't even seen a bear market yet, but some are jumping to predict how low Bitcoin could go. Just chill, it’s way too early for these kinds of predictions. Who knows how high or low Bitcoin will go?
It’s close now, but it’s a solid support level. The last channel we had since last year shows that whenever it hits this spot, it bounces back. If it breaks, though, that’s a bad sign.
I’m thinking if Bitcoin peaks around $140k-150k, during the bear it could drop to those levels mentioned. Normally it can drop about 60-70% from the peak. Do you think the institutional buying will change that?
If we can’t guess the top, how can we guess the bottom? All we can do is HODL and set clear targets when buying. The market is influenced by so many factors. We need to wait for a bull cycle to end for any clarity on the bear.
Honestly, I find predicting the bottoms a bit easier. I’m typically not actively trading to catch them, so maybe that’s just me. It makes me think the institutional money might not even be connected to current prices.

I'm guessing we'll dip under 40k. Not sure about 30k, but I'm sure we won’t stay above 20k. If 125k is the top, then under 40k seems likely.

Sounds fair. For me, I’d say we could peak between 140k-200k in the next 10 weeks and then drop to $40-60k over the next 18 months. I’m just hoping the pattern holds.
