For me, the main thing when picking a crypto exchange is security. Can't compromise on that. I really think it's about three key points: keeping assets safe, being transparent with regulations, and following global safety standards. No way I’d risk my investments just for lower fees or some random coins. What do you all think?

Totally agree, regulation is key. Too many CEXs have pulled shady moves or got hacked. If you want real protection, stick with exchanges recognized and regulated in your country. If you prefer privacy and don’t wanna deal with KYC, just go for P2P trading.

Honestly, who cares about the technical stuff? Just look for a reputable exchange. I’ll even share a list of the top ones to make it easier. I’m sticking with the number one, even if it’s banned where I live.

Yeah, reputation is everything. I mean, exchanges that survived big hacks and still let users withdraw their funds? That’s what matters. No one’s immune to hacks, but those with solid reputations stand a better chance.

Reputation matters for sure, but I prefer exchanges with better features too. Low fees are great, but if the exchange doesn’t have a good standing, I’m not interested.

I always check the transaction fees first. As a trader, knowing those costs is key. Higher fees can eat into profits big time. Reputation and policies come second for me.

Reading this is like a soft sell, but I see your point. Regulation is coming, and soon CEXs will be under more scrutiny. But remember, even reputable exchanges can collapse like FTX did. Just saying.

But how can we predict a collapse? We trust these exchanges because they seem solid at the moment. Binance is top now, but will they still be in a decade? That's part of the risk.

True, even regulated exchanges can be hacked. But if they are regulated, the chances of getting your funds back are better. If not, good luck chasing them down.

Exactly! Reputation isn’t the only thing to trust. I look for more criteria. Binance is decent for me because of their security measures like Proof of Reserves and audits. Still, I prefer not to keep my coins on exchanges unless necessary.

For me, it’s about trusting the exchange and knowing they won’t rip me off. I’ve had my KYC and funds with them, so they better deliver great features. Honestly, I’m not too comfortable with my local CEX right now.

I’m all about reputation too. If an exchange gets good reviews, it usually means they’re user-friendly, have decent fees, and good service. I won’t trust one that’s not trusted by the majority.

I go for reputation, but also if the exchange fits my needs. There’s no perfect platform. I weigh the pros and cons to narrow down my choices.

These low fees are a trap for many. New exchanges lure you in with cheap trading and withdrawal rates, but it’s all about liquidity and reputation. Remember Mt. Gox? Reputation means nothing when hackers strike.

CEXs have billions at stake, all our money. They need to keep it safe. A trusted CEX that follows regulations and prioritizes security is a must-have for me.

What made you realize security is the priority? Was it witnessing someone else’s loss or a hack? And does using BingxAI help you make better decisions?

Honestly, keep your funds in non-custodial wallets. Storing on centralized exchanges is risky. Seriously, not your keys, not your coins. KYC means losing your privacy.

Exactly! Regulation brings protection. Remember WazirX? They claimed a hack, and everyone lost money because there was no regulation. Better to have a chance of getting something back, even if it takes time.

I’m with you. Trading on a fully regulated exchange is way safer since you’re backed by local laws. But it sucks when your country only has mediocre exchanges.

I check the exchange’s reputation and how long they’ve been around. Low fees are nice, but I’m not trying new exchanges blindly. I’ve got my two go-tos for trading.
