US is totally after resources, especially oil. If the Middle East doesn’t cooperate, they’ll just look elsewhere. Trump's eyeing Ukraine’s resources too, and now they’ve got Venezuela in their sights. Next could be Nigeria, who knows.

Wait, so did Trump really tell Zelensky about wanting Russian oil? I need proof for that. He’s clearly been flexing power, but let’s not treat assumptions as facts.

Russia's too strong right now. Trump knows he can't just attack; they'd have to wait until Russia’s in a weaker position post-Ukraine conflict.

Congrats on the hot take, but what does 'smart' mean exactly? Absolute Resolve cost a ton, and it wasn’t really a win for anyone but the oil companies. Taxpayers and Venezuelans are left holding the bag.

You’re twisting things. OP didn’t mention Russian oil. He said the US wants resources from Ukraine. That’s the real negotiation between Trump and Zelensky, with an eye on mineral resources for US aid.

Totally agree. Lots of chatter about how Ukraine’s minerals are why the US is interested. They’re trying to lessen reliance on China for rare minerals. Smart move, honestly.

But wouldn’t it be better if the US just took Nigeria? After years of independence, they still struggle. I’m skeptical about US plans for Nigeria, though.

Maybe the US isn’t just focused on Ukraine. It’s more about weakening Russia to gain an upper hand in Europe. Ukraine's just the battlefield, and Russia's not as weak as they thought.

You’re oversimplifying. There’s a lot more going on than just the US picking on weaker countries. It’s about global power dynamics. Citizens end up paying the price for government actions.

Even if Russia is weakened, attacking them would be a nightmare for the US. They’re only confident against nations that lack the capability to fight back.

You’ve missed Trump's comments about Venezuela after Maduro’s capture. He’s all in on using their oil and even hinted at deploying troops to secure it.

Every country wants oil because it’s super lucrative. So yeah, it’s safe to say Trump’s eyeing oil from any nation that has it.

Not sure where this Nigeria takeover idea is coming from. The US always has ulterior motives when they intervene, usually linked to resources.

I kinda see what you're saying. It looks like Trump’s targeting weak, resource-rich nations. He’s not trying that with China or Russia, that’s for sure.

Seems like Trump is making some bold moves; he’s definitely eyeing oil-rich nations while they’re vulnerable. He has a pattern of getting what he wants.

Could you try some punctuation? It’s tough to read your point. But yeah, you’re talking about USA and how they act in Venezuela. Do you really think Trump cares about global opinions?

What the US really wants in Ukraine isn’t oil but rare earth metals. Ukraine has valuable deposits, and they’re negotiating security in exchange for resource access.

Fact is, most Venezuelan oil ends up with China anyway. Disrupting Venezuela can give the US more use over other nations.

It’s not happening anytime soon. Trump seems preoccupied with Greenland. Once he’s dealt with that, maybe he’ll consider Africa.

Your theories are pretty out there. Maduro’s issues with the US began ages ago. They’ve always viewed him as illegitimate, not just for oil.
