hey all, just curious about max values for k and n in BSGS mode. how long does it take to generate them and how much space do they need? also, what’s the biggest range Keyhunt can search in like 2 or 3 days? can we find a private key in a range of 2^100 in an hour or two? what are the key values needed for this? thanks!

first off, in secp256k1, the n value is fixed. sure you can increase it if you use a prime number, but then you aren’t on the secp256k1 curve anymore. no OP_CHECKSIG for you in that case. and honestly, brute-forcing all possible values without tricks? it’s way longer than going back to 2009 and much more storage than our universe can handle. computing power varies, so it really depends on your hardware. just keep that in mind.
