A lot of new folks in crypto keep hearing about DeFi but don't really get how it all works. So, here’s a quick breakdown.
1. What is DeFi?
DeFi stands for Decentralized Finance. It’s all about using blockchain tech to create financial apps that don’t need banks or brokers. Everything runs on smart contracts, which do the heavy lifting automatically.
2. Main Parts of a DeFi Setup:
- Smart Contracts: These are like self-running scripts that handle transactions on the blockchain.
- Liquidity Pools: Think of them as a stash of funds locked up in smart contracts for trading.
