Here's a list of miners that I've set up before: ASICMiner Blade, Cube, Tube, Prisma, Avalons 2, 3, 4, 6, and SpondooliesTech models SP10, SP20, SP30, SP35, plus a few Technobit models and Bitmain AntMiners.

Nice guide Dogie! But how does the noise of the SP30 at 4.5TH compare to the SP10?

The noise really comes down to the PSUs. SP30 is quieter and has a lower pitch compared to SP10 in quiet mode. Just a heads up for those running at 110V, you need at least 13A cables.

That's interesting. But sometimes I wonder if beauty matters when we deal with power and heat issues. These chips could perform better with more power, and noise could drop significantly if we switched PSUs or went bigger.

The first image was just a CAD design. Mine didn’t come out right, so I’m fixing the lighting. The real SP30 has different heatsinks and is silver, like the SP10.

If someone was unhappy with the SP10 noise, should we expect the same with the SP30 in warmer temps?

Not really. It depends on your situation and how much noise bothers you. If you can keep doors closed, you might be fine.

Thanks for the guide! The power cord you mentioned is a standard PC one, right? Comes with my 1300W PSUs. Is it only for 110V? What about 200-240V?

You’ll need a cord that connects your receptacle to C13. Since it has two PSUs, a splitter might be tricky to find or you could use a PDU.

I’m planning on using two outlets on different breakers. Running the numbers, an SP30 at 4.1TH at 2600W gives a better hash/Watt than 4.5TH at 2900W. Hash/Watt is what really counts.

@marvell1 You’re missing the point. What really matters is $/GH and the operational costs. A higher hashrate can reduce $/GH and lead to faster ROI, especially with low $/GH/m.

I disagree. Right now, it's best to run it at full speed for max W/GH. I’m aiming for 4TH/s at 2.3kW.

If you have two circuits, just grab the right cables and you're set. Even at 3kW, you won’t exceed 12-13A at 240V, which is safe on a 20A circuit.
