Transferring Funds from Bitcoin Core Without Full Sync

So I got Bitcoin Core installed and received 500 bucks from a buddy, but I totally didn’t realize I had to wait for the full blockchain to sync to access my funds. Any chance I can pull those funds out before that? It's a non-legacy wallet, so 'dumpprivkey' is

Sounds like a bad block issue. You might have hardware problems, shutting down like that is a warning sign. Better check your setup.
