Any thoughts on using systemd for bitcoind? Just trying to get this set up right. I found some examples but it feels a bit confusing. Here's a link I stumbled upon... https://gist.github.com/oakwhiz/0312f1d6f94b519875773c1eb22ab523

Dude, you might be stuck in the XY problem here. Instead of asking about the service file, why not just share your actual goal? A lot of the setup resembles the examples in Bitcoin Core's repo. I don't really see the point of using bind mounts with systemd when /etc/fstab works fine. Also, most Bitcoin nodes auto-start like this only when they're part of something bigger, like BTCPayServer. Not many folks run testnet nodes automatically unless they’re into mining.

+1 to what you said! I’ve seen people use systemd mainly for larger setups, but I guess some just like experimenting. Who even runs testnet nodes all the time? Seems kinda rare unless you're actively mining. Just curious if anyone has more insights on this.
