Any thoughts on using systemd for bitcoind? Just trying to get this set up right. I found some examples but it feels a bit confusing. Here's a link I stumbled upon...

Thoughts on Setting Up bitcoind Service?

Dude, you might be stuck in the XY problem here. Instead of asking about the service file, why not just share your actual goal?
A lot of the setup resembles the examples in Bitcoin Core's repo. I don't really see the point of using bind mounts with systemd when /etc/fstab works fine.
Also, most Bitcoin nodes auto-start like this only when they're part of something bigger, like BTCPayServer. Not many folks run testnet nodes automatically unless they’re into mining.
+1 to what you said!
I’ve seen people use systemd mainly for larger setups, but I guess some just like experimenting.
Who even runs testnet nodes all the time? Seems kinda rare unless you're actively mining. Just curious if anyone has more insights on this.
