Been dreaming of Bitcoin mining since forever. Back then, I was stuck with GPUs, mining altcoins, which was chill but not super profitable anymore. Now I wanna grab a Bitcoin ASIC miner from Bitmain, but I'm scared of getting a damaged unit. The shipping and returns from China take ages... How risky is it really to buy directly from them? Any experiences?

For USA folks, skip Bitmain. Go for altairtech.io. I've bought from them legit stuff. They have this Antminer T21 transformer, and I can vouch for it since I own a few.

Heads up! Those miners from altairtech use Vnish firmware, which takes a chunk of your hash rate for a DevFee coin. If you block it with something like Wireshark, the miner won't work until you allow it again.
