Some people really prefer leaving their Bitcoin on centralized exchanges. It's like they want to hand over their keys because they can’t be bothered to manage them... What if they just don’t want the responsibility?

So, if you’re using Coinbase, does that mean you’re okay with not having your seed phrase? It’s pure laziness to keep your assets on those platforms. It’s like waiting for disaster to strike.

Honestly, you gotta take custody into your own hands. Otherwise, you’re just asking for trouble.

Sure, people can do whatever they want. But they seriously need to understand that holding coins on exchanges means they don't have full control. That's why I’m all about non-custodial wallets.

Yeah, risk is a huge factor here. Feeling free from control is what makes self-custody appealing.

A friend of mine asked about third-party custodians. I told him to handle his own custody. But he’s worried about being targeted in a dangerous area. Makes sense, but I still think self-custody is better.

Too many folks think they get it when they really don’t. We’ve gotta take the security of our Bitcoin seriously. Otherwise, we just hand our assets over to anyone.

Even if you think you’re safe with coins on exchanges, you can still be pressured for info. Kidnapping is real. But hidden seed phrases? That’s a whole different game.

Everyone’s got a different risk management style. If someone isn’t great with private keys but wants in on Bitcoin, sure, Coinbase might work for them. But I’d rather learn how to secure my funds properly.

But that’s not a solid reason to keep Bitcoin on an exchange. If you’re scared of losing your seed phrase, just set up a passphrase and stash it in multiple safe spots.

People usually learn the hard way. If they want to keep Bitcoin on an exchange, they’ll ignore all the risks until it bites them. Better to help those who actually want to understand self-custody.

Okay, keeping coins on exchanges means they handle your security. But lose it in self-custody? Good luck getting it back. Still, if you know how to secure it, it’s yours for good.

They clearly don’t grasp the risks with centralized exchanges. If they did, they wouldn’t trust those platforms. But hey, it’s their choice.

You can move your Bitcoin anywhere, but exchange wallets are a no-go. Hardware wallets are the way to go.

This mindset issue is real. Some people just can’t shake off past failures with sensitive info. They need to realize they can learn to keep their private keys safe.

I’d rather handle my coins myself than trust an exchange. At least if I screw up, it’s on me, not some scammer.

Just a reminder: don’t keep funds on exchanges if you’re not trading. If you trust exchanges more than yourself, that’s a risky mindset.

Don’t throw all your capital into trading. Keep it small. And don’t leave funds on exchanges longer than necessary. Withdraw to your non-custodial wallet.

Keeping your money in online accounts? Bad move. We’ve seen too many horror stories about exchanges failing.

Good luck to anyone thinking keeping Bitcoin on exchanges is safe. Wait till they get locked out. It’s a mess when they start saying your assets are safe, but really, they’re not.
