Year after year I see these talks about a global economic reset. Everyone’s saying it’s to tackle inflation. But is the reality much different, with cost of living skyrocketing? Seems to me like a big lie. There’s this plan in play to switch to CBDCs, eliminating cash and bringing inflation down... but it sounds too neat to be true.

Wait, so you think cash is causing inflation? Sounds a bit off to me. They can just print more CBDCs like they do with regular money. How’s that gonna help inflation? People think just switching the currency will fix everything, but that’s naïve.
Exactly. There’s no single government controlling the whole globe, so how do you even implement a reset? Plus, think about global trade agreements. A total mess, if you ask me.
I completely believe a plan exists for some kind of economic reboot. Sure, it’s not happening tomorrow, but it’s gotta be close. People could react wildly to such changes. It feels like this could lead to chaos.
Confused here... Are we saying cash spending is what’s driving inflation? Makes no sense. I mean, once CBDCs are in play, are we really expecting inflation to drop? Sounds impossible.
Honestly, the only reset that could really happen is a major war... not saying I want that, though. Just trying to keep it real. CBDCs won’t change much; they’ll just be digital versions of what we already have.

Yeah, each country has its own issues, and it’s gonna take ages to sort this global reset thing. If I’m in a war zone, my focus is survival, not some grand economic debate.
That’s just the OP’s take. I haven’t seen any government claim that eliminating cash or implementing a CBDC will magically sort inflation. Eliminating cash could cut costs, but it won’t fix inflation.

Governments always promise change but rarely deliver. Central banks seem to fail at controlling inflation, and if physical cash can’t do it, I doubt CBDCs will either.
Seems like they’re giving false hope with these plans. Politically, it benefits them to keep inflation around. They want our taxes and to manage their debts better, no matter how it affects everyone else.
Where are you getting this info? Do you think all governments are in sync? That’s not how it works. Countries like China and India have their own agendas that don’t align with US interests.
For sure, CBDCs sound nice, but they’re likely just another scheme to control. People are indifferent to it because they prefer cash or existing digital payments.

Creating CBDCs won’t solve the monetary crisis, especially in a globalized world dominated by the US dollar. It’s a losing battle.

Honestly, I think this reset idea is a fantasy pushed by the World Economic Forum. If they couldn’t execute it during the pandemic, what on Earth makes anyone think they can now?

I mean, after the pandemic and all these conflicts, a global strategy looks less likely than ever. Countries won’t cooperate if they’re in their own struggles.
Good point. I’m not optimistic about a real reset happening. Talk is cheap, and it’s all just promises. Action is what’s needed, not just more debates.
I’ve been wondering too about the logistics of a global reset. There’s talk of phasing out cash in the next few years. Plus, a Digital ID system that could replace cash... sounds invasive.
Exactly! It seems like the idea of a Great Reset emerged when the pandemic hit, probably to provide some comfort as things got tough. But it doesn’t change the reality of inflation.
Any reset without a global currency is a joke. The world is too fragmented now. Small steps within nations might be more realistic, but nothing grand.

I guess we’ll need something extreme for major changes to happen, huh? Like a World War or some massive crisis... until then, it’s probably status quo.
