Let’s hear your thoughts without the influence of well-known figures. How do you really feel about Bitcoin's future?
The Future of Bitcoin: Decentralization and Institutional Influence

I get what you’re saying but ever since institutions jumped in, it feels like decentralization and privacy are slipping away. Sure, the price is rising, but many are just here for profits, not the original ideals.

Yeah, you’re right. Institutional interest is dominating now. We can’t change that. It’s like everything has become a political or business target. Developers have some tough choices ahead.
Exactly! Most investors nowadays just want to cash in. They don’t care about the core values of Bitcoin. Just look at those buying ETF shares, they’re not bothered if it’s not actual BTC.
But hold on, privacy isn’t just about who’s adopting it. It’s about how we manage our wallets and transactions. If you understand that, you can still maintain privacy.
Once regulations hit, privacy starts to disappear. Institutions will take over, and while the market may stabilize, it’s not what many of us signed up for. We wanted something free from government control.

True, but Bitcoin’s core definition can’t be damaged, right? Even if the government tries to control things, every transaction is still on-chain and visible.
But look who funds Bitcoin Core developers. A lot of that money comes from institutions. Of course, they’ll influence decisions when the funding is tight.
This apathy toward decentralization is worrying. It’s like people just want Bitcoin to exist and grow in value, without caring about the underlying issues.
Sad but true. Privacy and decentralization seem to be losing priority. Most transactions go through exchanges now. People just want to use Bitcoin without restrictions.

I hear you. It’s frustrating. Bitcoin is getting more institutionalized, and newbies are mostly about profits. But we have to adapt to this growth stage.
Totally agree! It’s like a nation with its own laws. We’ve fought hard to keep Bitcoin decentralized. Can’t let it slip now.
It’s inevitable with all these new people. They want profits but aren’t interested in decentralization. That’s why ETFs are so appealing.
Exactly. When governments announce regulations, it’s about control, not decentralization. They want to centralize Bitcoin, especially with institutional involvement.

True! But we still have to fight for decentralization. Most people don’t even realize the risks involved with government control.
Governments are just gonna take their time with Bitcoin, playing their games. We need to show the world crypto isn’t just for illicit activities.

Decentralization won't mean anything if it all goes through centralized systems. Imagine trying to fly with clipped wings.
Is this really happening? Got a source for that? It’s crazy how unaware people are of these issues.
Yeah, I saw evidence of transaction censorship from F2Pool. It’s concerning.

I think you’re missing the point. @OP is worried about government pressure on developers to centralize protocols. That’s a real risk.
