I think this doc aired on Nat Geo back in like 2011 or 2012!! I saw it when Bitcoin was only $12 and honestly, I didn't get it and skipped through it. Later in 2014, I found it online again and thought those guys were Satoshi Nakamoto or something, but that was just me being naive.

Checked the video, and wow, it's from 13 years ago. I haven't seen it yet, but I feel like watching it would be like stepping back in time. Love the nostalgia.

Lol they interviewed Bruce Wagner, that guy had some major fraud allegations back then. You can find threads about him on this forum.

It's wild to think that even before Nat Geo highlighted Bitcoin, some people already knew about it. I bet those who watched that doc and didn’t buy Bitcoin are kicking themselves, especially with the price hitting those crazy highs now.

Satoshi's anonymity really shows the privacy aspect of Bitcoin. If he revealed himself, it might scare off users who value their own privacy too. Some say they aren't hiding, but they don't know the importance of that privacy in crypto.

I can't believe there was a doc like this back then. Just my luck, I missed it haha. If I had watched it, I might have gotten into Bitcoin way earlier.

There's actually a thread here collecting all the films about Bitcoin. Not sure if this is the first one, but the filmmakers definitely aren't Satoshi. There's also 'The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin' that you might check out.

The narrator in the doc said he can't trust Bitcoin because he might lose his private key. Like, really? Sounds like a personal problem to me. I wonder if he feels differently now.

I remember 'The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin' too, that one was great. These old docs are still relevant today, just the prices have changed.

This video is a nice reminder of Bitcoin's early days. Don't care if it's the first or not, it shows how far we've come. Wish I could go back and invest when it was cheap.

Yeah, stuff like this often gets overlooked. You probably missed it because it wasn’t on your radar. Hopefully, this will help newbies understand Bitcoin better.

I think you missed the point of the video. It was more about promoting fiat over Bitcoin, saying you can’t recover lost coins. But with inflation now, those arguments don’t hold up as well.

So that video is from 2013? Crazy how much has happened since then. Seeing Bitcoin grow from nothing to a top crypto is just mind-blowing.

Bitcoin’s really exploded into a multi-billion dollar market in just over a decade. The pandemic pushed a lot of people to go digital, and I doubt Satoshi ever envisioned it becoming this big.

It's good to see more content recognizing Bitcoin's evolution. It can help more people get a grip on what it really is.
