The classic PoW and PoS showdown

I know I’m not the smartest here, but when I hear about PoS, it feels like a cat chasing its tail. Just going in circles.

I thought about solo mining for a piece of the reward without needing pools. ASICs might back that idea since they could earn more than CPU miners.

Yeah, it was more decentralized before, but not like now. A few people with exchanges held tons of BTC back in the day. Manipulation was easier.

You can’t compare a miner who invested big bucks for their hash power with an exchange that doesn’t put in the same effort. Miners have skin in the game.
