To get started, just run a Tor daemon on your Raspberry Pi. Then in Sparrow, go to Preferences and set the proxy to use Tor. Route all your traffic through it. Amazing setup for smooth coinjoins!
Thanks for the tips! But who says I’m not running my own mempool? I actually have a couple of nodes.
1. Umbrel on RPi with core, electrs, dojo, and more.
2. Raspbian Lite, clean setup with core, electrs, Sparrow.
That's a nice setup!
Do you use Samourai along with your Dojo? And have you checked your logs yet? My experience has been way better; Sparrow connected to my node like a breeze.
Right now, I use Sentinel for a few addresses and Zeus for my LND node. Love Zeus for forcing a connection to my node. Also, dev is super chill. We chatted once!
I’ve gone further too. Added my cold wallet’s pub key in Sparrow, set postmix UTXOs to auto send there after mixing. Super easy to set it and forget it.
Quick question: can you bring a cold storage wallet online and continue remixing? Like if I mix my outputs to a cold wallet, could I later import that wallet into Sparrow to remix again?
So if I make a cold Sparrow wallet, set it to coinjoin, then mix coins to the xpub of that cold wallet, can I later use it online and continue mixing?
Yeah, you can add those accounts manually too.
Tried it! No luck. Couldn't create whirlpool accounts for airgapped wallets. I could only add simple accounts. Had to make a hot wallet in Samourai instead.
