So, there’s this idea floating around that America should outright ban crypto. I mean really? This isn’t just a gamble, it's a huge market we’re talking about.
Should the US Ban Crypto?

Not sure what the fuss is about. Charlie Munger says it’s a gambling contract favoring the house. Who’s this ‘house’ though? Satoshi? Investors? Seems kinda vague.
I get that Munger's been around forever but he's all about traditional investments. Kind of tough for him to switch gears this late in the game.

Yeah but can we really just ignore what happened with FTX? That didn’t paint crypto in a great light, honestly. Still, banning it seems extreme.

FTX was just one dude messing up, not a reflection of crypto as a whole. That’s not how it works, man.
But regulators look at incidents like that and think it’s enough reason to crack down. They’re worried about national security too.
Makes sense, but if they ban it here, it’ll just migrate elsewhere. What’s the endgame?
Exactly. Like, it won’t just *poof* disappear. Crypto’s already a global thing. If it thrives without the US, we might lose out big time.
Sure, some see it as just gambling. But to others, it’s an investment. Like, you can lose if you sell early, right?
Munger and Buffett have made their share of mistakes too. They’re not infallible. It’s different when you consider BTC as a new currency versus a stock.
Sure, they’ve had successes and failures, but I think it’s more about how they view investments. Old-school thinkers can't seem to grasp it fully.

Right? They just don’t get the tech. They were around before the internet. Not really their fault, but come on.
Plus, there’s a debt ceiling crisis looming. If the US can't manage that, why are we even talking about banning crypto?
Public debt is a mess for sure. But it’s all relative. Some countries are drowning deeper than the US.

Got a point. But it feels like the US is on shaky ground. Eventually, something’s gotta give.
Feel like we’re at a tipping point with this debt thing. It’s all connected somehow.

And that’s the key! If they ban crypto, what do they expect people to turn to? Just more government control in the end.

Absolutely. If they ban it, they’ll probably push for a central bank digital currency. Just seems like a setup.

Yeah, banning crypto just makes it more appealing, right? Almost like a challenge now.

True! It’s become too big to ignore. The demonization around it only fuels the fire to explain what it is.
