I noticed many mining pools are showing full wallet addresses. Don't you think it should be kept private or at least abbreviated? One of my miner friends told me I was being paranoid, but I feel like it matters... What do you guys think?

There are plenty of mining pools out there, so you can pick and choose, right? Just beware, some require accounts or KYC, which totally messes with privacy. If you only use one address for a specific pool, it helps with this privacy issue a bit.

Yeah but with explorers, especially ones that do firstbits lookups, it doesn’t really help that much. Just the first few characters can lead to finding the whole wallet. Like, check out walletexplorer.com; it can find most wallets from just the first 6 characters. Right? -Dave

True, a pool might hide miners' addresses, but it can't hide its own payouts. If someone really wants to dig into it, they can find all the addresses getting rewards from the pool easily. Just my two cents.
