After diving into the replies I got, I gotta admit some of you made me rethink my views. Saying Bitcoin is "perfect for laundering" seems a bit off now. I just learned that it wasn't created for that purpose, and it’s basically digital cash that anyone, even criminals, can use.
Rethinking Bitcoin's Role in Crime and Volatility

So why not continue the chat in the last thread? I mean, locking it and starting a new one seems unnecessary. Bitcoin isn’t just for money laundering, it has so many uses. That’s just one aspect of it. Plus, the blockchain doesn’t filter or censor how it’s used.
Honestly, I’m kinda over what all these people say about Bitcoin. A lot of them don’t really get how it works. I just focus on my investments and ignore the FUD they spread. This forum is way better for reliable info than random influencers.

So true. Some users just don’t get it when you try to explain Bitcoin’s real purpose. Satoshi designed it for peer-to-peer transactions without third-party interference, but regulations mess that up. Criminals will use anything, so it’s not just Bitcoin.

Exactly! It’s like a gun. Two people can use it differently one for protection, another for crime. Bitcoin was made to counter the fiat system controlled by governments. And yeah, scammers use Telegram a lot. Just avoid it.

People will always talk about Bitcoin, whether they know what they’re on about or not. This forum is a great place to learn how to use Bitcoin wisely. I've seen some really good insights here.
When someone says Bitcoin is just for crime, it shows they don’t know much about it. Bitcoin doesn’t care why you’re sending money. That’s one of its key features. It’s up to users and legal systems to ensure it’s not misused.
Volatility can actually be a good thing for some peeps. Buy low when the price drops and get ready for the next bull run. If you’re in it for the long haul, snagging Bitcoin at a cheaper rate is a win.
I hear you on that. I’m super careful on Telegram because so many people are just out to scam. This forum feels way more trustworthy. No one’s sliding into my DMs trying to sell me crypto.
If you educate yourself about Bitcoin, you won’t be scared of the volatility. If you rely on others’ opinions, you’re just asking to be manipulated. Treat volatility as normal and see it as a chance to buy more.
With inflation and everything going on, trusting fiat is becoming harder. Bitcoin’s volatility can actually help grow your savings if you buy during dips. It’s like a cycle we can use to our advantage.

Scams thrive on platforms that lack basic principles. If moderation is decentralized, it’s tough for scammers to get a foothold. Everyone helps keep things in check.

Check out the Bitcoin Whitepaper to understand why it exists. Scammers can hit any market, not just Bitcoin. It’s just how it goes.
For sure, just because some use Bitcoin for bad stuff doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. It’s about learning to be safe and not falling for scams. Maybe stay off platforms like Telegram if you’re worried.

People will always misuse things, whether it’s gold, cash, or whatever. Governments try to regulate it, but true believers still use Bitcoin for good. Learning risk management is key.

Honestly, I wouldn’t expect anyone to fall for Bitcoin scams on Telegram unless they’re just not careful. Crimes happen with cash too and nobody stops using it.
Using Bitcoin for scams doesn’t make it a scam itself. Just like cash is used for both good and bad. It’s about the user, not the tool.
Yeah, criminals can launder money wherever they want, regulation or not. They’ll always find a way. Money laundering existed before Bitcoin and it still happens today.
Right? The way cartels launder money has nothing to do with Bitcoin. It's mostly cash transactions. Bitcoin just adds another layer to the mix.
Criminal element can launder money just anywhere they want. It doesnt matter what is being regulated or not. Once the intention is there, they would always find a loophole in whatever system to exploit. Money laundering has always being a problem even before the advent of Bitcoin and it still is today, those traditional ways to it is still very functional in today still.
Wonder how the cartel drug traffickers get their money? Make no mistake they dont exchange drugs for Bitcoins out there on the street, its mostly cash and it still finds a way back to the cartels.
So when it comes to Bitcoin, of course criminal elements can still use it for their illicit purposes but, that doesnt make Bitcoin a currency for criminal activities.
Telegram is a social media channel of its own and the regulations of what is being done there is solely in the hands of those that own the channel. Unfortunately, these medias exist on the bases of respecting privacies in end to end agreement except, a serious concern is raised by government agencies, they dont go snooping for these things. Hence, it is up to everyone to be aware.
